What makes this mod special is that the spells you use will level up with you and enable you to unlock some of the mysteries hidden within their scripts, bestowing new effects upon them as they grow stronger and stronger. Forgotten Magic Redone provides a smaller set of spells, that partially complement each other, and tries to keep them balanced and immersive. While other magic mods oftentimes introduce hundreds of different spells (which can be a bit overwhelming) this mod takes a different approach. Ordinator compatibility patch available here, thanks to TheNinJew for this.įorgotten Magic Redone SE brings you some of the most comprehensive and intriguing spells for Skyrim to date! Following on from the Forgotten Magicmod, the arcane arts have now been mastered.

Should also take a look at Undeath if you haven't already, as being a lich is in the same sorta vein as necromancy.Requires SKSE64 + and SkyUI 5.1 Alpha + for full functionality. Didn't use it much, but it relied on casting powerful damage over time curses and conjures. Still using apocalypse though, as it feels vanilla to me now, and I couldn't ever see myself playing without it.Įdit: for a Necromancer character, Forgotten Magic has a "specialization" (group of spells that work together, and adhere to a particular theme) for Necromancy/Death magic, iirc. My latest mod setup doesn't even have FM, because I've also found navigating the mcm menu to adjust the spell's perks to be tedious, and i'm going for more of a melee-oriented hardcore game this time. I prefer Apocalypse, personally, as it has a larger variety of spells, and great ones like occatos recital, which really made my battlemage character shine.įorgotten Magic's spells will, unless you never level them, always be more powerful than apocalypse, and when used with apocalypse (occatos recital again for auto-casting the armor and weapon upgrade spells from FM), make your life preeeetty easy as a spellcaster.
